DEWDROP INSTITUTE
The Dewdrop Institute is a vocational training centre established by the Dewdrop Foundation in 2015 which affords our Trainees the opportunity to acquire top-notch knowledge and skills in a serene learning environment, from experts in Homecare, Healthcare & Social Care, Hospitality Services and related industries.
The Institute aims to promote and restore dignity to the Home Health & Social Care industry which is currently typified and populated by the largely untrained domestic service providers. The Institute will provide globally recognized training programs and certification in child care, elderly care, home care and hospitality services for interested youths, and mature members of the public who have the interest and aptitude for professional care-giving and service delivery especially for the vulnerable members of our society. This will ensure that the industry is populated with employable and efficient workforce who will have a platform to be recognized as formal members of the labour market, thus enjoy the benefits that accrue to other recognized members of the labour market. Potential benefits include better remunerations, social benefits such as health insurance, pension contributions as well as career advancement than the dead-end work that currently obtains for domestic service workers.
It is also our goal to help reduce the high level of unemployment by re-orienting and counselling our Trainees and the un-employed in the nation to embrace professional Home, Health & Social Caregiving as a prestigious career path with tremendous growth opportunities, rather than to regard it as a temporary means to an end.
